Central Park is a quick and easy stitching project with birds, birdcages & flowers. It can be made as gift for family friends or just for yourself.
Scarf: - 5½” x 55½” or (14cm x 141cm) from frill edges
Journal Cover: - 9½” x 15” or (24cm x 38cm)
Flowers: Large approx. - 5½” or 14cm diameter
Small approx. - 4” or (10cm) diameter
Requirements to make scarf and journal cover:
35cm (14") of linen or preferred fabric for scarf and journal cover - mine was approx 137cm (54") wide.
10cm (4") each of TEN assorted print fabrics for scarf and journal cover
Three 12cm (4") squares of THREE print fabrics for applique birds
An additional 15cm (6") of one print fabric for frills on scarf ends
One 6" strip of weaveline or equivalent (to back stitcheries)
30cm (12") fabric for lining for journal cover and inside pockets
15cm (6") fabric for binding journal cover
One 26cm x 38cm (10" x 15") piece of iron on pellon or equivalent for journal cover
50cm length (20") of ric rac for inside pockets of journal

Requirements to make one Large Assorted Print Flower
One 10cm x 20cm (4" x 8") piece of fabric from EIGHT assorted print fabrics
Two - 5cm (2") squares of felt to match fabrics
One 1.5cm x 30cm (1/2" x 15") strip of flower centre OR use large self-cover button or button of choice.
Requirements to make fabric headband (to attach flower to)
One 8cm x 45cm (3" x 17.5") strip of fabric
45cm (18") length of 1cm (3/8") wide double sided satin ribbon
