Make a really pretty dress in an evening and increase your sewing knowledge base along the way.
This pattern is not complicated, but the seams are lined with bias binding and this can be tricky to get lined up. For that reason we would recommend complete sewing novices start with our reversible dress workshop rather than this one.
If you have used a sewing machine recently, and have gotten to grips with sewing straight lines and curves, then join us for an evening learning how to read, trace and sew with clothes patterns, facing seams with bias binding and learning how to create 'continuous bound plackets' - you will be very proud of yourself when you have this one under your belt!
The workshop includes all the materials you need to make one dress (you can choose your fabrics from across our store) and you get a copy of the pattern to take away with you.
WHO: This is a great introduction to sewing children's clothes, the pattern used is for ages 2 to 6 years.
WHAT: You will learn how to read a pattern, trace your pattern pieces and cut, sewing pieces together, facing with bias binding, continuous bound plackets, hems and top stitching.
WHERE: Course are held in Witney or Ducklington depending on class size and your own needs.
WHEN: As this is a bespoke course we will agree a day and time to suit you (the workshop takes 2.5- 3 hours). We are able to offer slots during the daytime evenings, or at weekends. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to check out our availability before booking.
WHAT IS A ONE TO ONE OR MORE COURSE?
If you can't make one of our group courses, or would like to complete a workshop or course which isn't currently running as a group course, then a 'one to one or more' course might be just what you need!
We are happy to teach all our group courses to individuals, or small groups of friends, find the course you are interested in, and view the price for the number of people who want to learn together above. Contact us to select a date and time to suit your schedule and we can take it from there - once a date has been set you can pay in one go using the website, or we can divide the cost between the participants and invoice you all separately (the only days/times we can never do are Monday or Tuesday mornings).
If your group is larger than 4 no problem, if you are able to provide a venue then the overall cost of the course will go up by £19 for every additional participant. If you would like us to provide the venue then the cost for the 5th person would be £40, and every person after that would add £19 to the overall cost - if any of this is unclear please do ask, we are happy to provide a quote.

If you need to cancel within 3 weeks of the start date, we are sorry but we cannot offer you a refund or transfer.
